I believe in the importance of helping individuals seeking to show up authentically in all parts of their lives. Through compassion, non-judgmental guidance, and by challenging patterns where you find yourself stuck, we are able to promote personal growth and change.

EMDR Therapy
EMDR is an effective research-based therapy treatment that supports healing from trauma, ingrained negative core beliefs, and other distressing life experiences. EMDR aims to change the emotions, thoughts, feelings and behaviors associated with traumatic experiences. EMDR aims to change the way memories are stored in your brain. When a traumatic event occurs, the brain may not process it properly, leading to lingering effects like nightmares and flashbacks. EMDR helps reprocess these memories, allowing you to remember the events without intense emotional reactions. I am a Certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA.

EMDR Intensives
EMDR Intensives are focused treatment sessions that immerse individuals in the therapeutic process over a relatively short period. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, intensives provide a deep and concentrated therapeutic experience designed to maximize the brain’s natural healing abilities and accelerate progress. EMDR Intensives will typically take place on Saturdays and will be offered once a month. Prior to an intensive, we will need to complete an intake and at least one or two 50-minute appointments. I am a Certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA.

Couples Therapy
I am a welcoming advocate for people of all genders, family structures, and orientations. My couples' work is informed by Esther Perel and the Gottman Therapy Method. I also incorporate a sex positive lens to my work. As a trauma therapist, it is important to also consider the impact of past trauma on current relationships and behaviors. Trauma can affect trust, communication, and connection with others. We will work to explore not only what happened in specific incidents, but also why it happened. By understanding each partner’s history, couples can find new ways to repair rifts, rebuild trust, strengthen communication and develop more effective coping strategies.

As a trauma therapist, I understand the importance of creating a safe environment, building a trustworthy and transparent process, working collaboratively, and strengthening and empowering individuals to recognize places where trauma may be impacting their life. Through this awareness, and processing unresolved memories, thoughts, and feelings, we are able to respond to our environment more adaptively.
